Mealtime at the infirmary.
A nurse hands out silver spoons
to all the old men who've forgotten how to eat
but can still carve their names on walls.
Voices saying, Who do you think you are?
and, What do you have to lose?
quarreling inside the head of a plastic doll.
Ghosts haunting an orphanage
waiting for adoption.
My own ghost
waiting for me.
